OUR HISTORY

Morris Lander, our grandfather, founded Lander Binding and Finishing on April 1, 1921 in an area that was know as Printers Row in downtown St. Louis.  He owned the company until his death in 1948. His sons Art, our father and Aaron, our uncle, took over the company and when they retired, passed the torch to us, Steve and Mike Lander. Today we continue their legacy. In this day and age, as companies come and go, we take pride in the fact that, into our third generation we are still a thriving and successful family owned business.

We have grown through the years due to hands on, personal treatment and attention to detail. Printers and other customers can expect to deal directly with us to discuss most projects that enter the facility. In addition to binding and finishing, we also have one of the areas largest die cutting, foil stamping and embossing facilities that is second to none. Every job is carefully crafted to provide the highest level of quality. We have an extensive range of equipment capable of handling complex or simple projects efficiently and cost effectively. We invest heavily in our facility striving to maintain the most accurate and up to date equipment the industry has to offer.

We take pride in providing quick bids and turnaround times for the 30+ operations we offer keeping in mind the budgetary and delivery time constraints of our customers. In addition to investing in the facility, we invest in our employees as well. Employees go through a four-year apprenticeship to assure that the work is of the best quality. Our commitment to excellence has provided steady sales growth over the years and has enabled us to maintain a loyal customer base and an excellent reputation. As we enter into our 90th year we strive to maintain a combination of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement that gives us a competitive edge that can’t be beat.
